Q: Why are we not seeing nearly as much protest against ACTA like we did with SOPA/PIPA? -Shedang
A: Don’t downvote this man, he’s right. We’ve all circlejerked relentlessly around the SOPA/PIPA blackouts, typing away on our nice keyboards.
Now, another law comes around and we’re all like “man, I just protested yesterday!”. And what did we do? We watched other people turn off their sites. Maybe we installed the one-line Javascript on our own site, **to show our heartfelt** support.
Today, a new law comes around the corner. Tomorrow again, another. And are you surprised? Slacktivism never helped, and it’s showing. Now, it’s time to realize that.
