Slactivism & ACTA: This is how we will eventually...
The question below is currently on Reddits front page with one of the top comments as a reply. I felt it was important enough to re-post to my followers. http://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/oxgio/why_are_we_not_seeing_nearly_as_much_protest/ — Q: Why are we not seeing nearly as much protest against ACTA like we did with SOPA/PIPA? -Shedang A: Don’t downvote this man,...

Four Floors of Whores
Over the past three years that One Hundred Owls has been a means for expression, I’ve released three eps and worked with several projects and artists, none of which has been in the full-blown capacity that I desired at the time. However now, settled back in Calgary, Ab and finally with a studio again, I can humour every aspect of this project that shows itself. More importantly are the...

jocundity
you once used merriment to describe yourself against the backdrop of a single day. it was a good day. leviathans walked by your side this day, confidence bestowed like holy water, ash & the cull of threads. minutes flushed with obedience, eyes met with eyes met, confrontations did melt & thaw, turning instead to the advantage of the most silver of tongues. you were fond of colours that...

“The first truth is… a democracy is not safe if people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism - ownership of government by… any controlling private power.” - Franklin D. Roosevelt, 1938 http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,759590-1,00.html

it's calm under the wave
We move forward so quick. I’ve wanted to find myself next to tomorrow for so long that I may have neglected spending time with now.  Every once in awhile I catch myself and finally slow down, to a tilt, to a stocky tilt. I forgo music, forgo poet and lose the skirmish against the shining lights of city stalks and barren tech. I’ll fight with ego, expectation and neglect the serenity...
